I can't stop thinking!

His mighty love

mighty love

It’s been a quiet Holy Week for the family. We did our traditional Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday. And the males in my father’s side of the family walked to three churches on Good Friday. Tradition. We stick to it as much as possible. We make it a point to stay together on Holy Week and not go have fun like some people do. My dad doesn’t want us to have fun during this one week of the year because there are other opportunities for us to have fun.

Oh, well. That’s just us, I guess.

But I thank the Lord God for His mighty love for letting me spend the Holy Week for the past 34 years with my family.

:)

Keep an open mind.

keep an open mind

Blessings often come in disguise. Can you imagine those persons who made things easier for us now giving up while doing their inventions? It’s a struggle for them but that’s not what they saw while inventing. What they saw were opportunities, blessings.

So when you first look at something and see an obstacle, tackle it. You may never know what lies underneath.

Happy Monday!

Keep off the grass!

It’s more than just the yard sign printing that says “keep off the grass!” because there’s more to it than meets the eye.

The owner is a proud gardener. He is exploring what he can do for the good of everyone in the neighborhood. He is planting flowers and putting potted plants in front of his house. He is asking neighbors to take a potted plant that they want for the front of their house and many are taking on his offer.

Tying the knot

A friend of mine asked if I could accompany him in buying wedding ring sets. I had some extra time that day so I said yes. He already knew what he wanted for their wedding rings to look like so we went to someone who could maybe customize it for him.

I didn’t know buying wedding rings could be so much fun!

Settled for good.

settledThey said I do in front of God, their families and friends. It was a beautiful day made only more beautiful by the exchange of vows between two individuals who were obviously so much in love with each other.

They met back in high school. They weren’t even close back then but mere classmates who occasionally talked to each other. After graduation, they didn’t see each other again.

It’s not until six months ago, when they got stuck in a very boring conference for teachers that they saw each other again and reconnected. They realized so many things and one of which was that they have so many things in common! They regretted the fact that it took them so long to realize that they genuinely like each other.

So they talked and talked and before they know it, the guy already was already telling her that he wanted to spend more time with her and that he seriously likes her. And so their romantic relationship slowly bloomed.

After only two months, they were discussing wedding bands, sharing a home, and living the rest of their lives together.

After four more months of wedding preparations, they walked down the aisle and said ‘I do’.

They are now settled for good!

Who would have thought?

old car

Whenever Jack feels stressed out, he would bring out his old car from the big shed and he would drive around the block. Sometimes he would go further and drive within the city. It never fails to calm his nerves and quiet his mind. He believes the old car has something to do with it. The old car was his grandfather’s and he just maintained it to bring it back to good working condition.

He also discovered that locking himself inside the bathroom with his Sabian Cymbals, banging it in there again and again until he can’t hear anything else but the reverberating sound it created, calms him.

So whenever he can’t drive his old car and he feels the need to bang his head on the wall, he brings out his cymbals and locks himself in the bathroom.

Enterprising woman

Miss Elise is one enterprising woman. Since it is common knowledge that election is upon us, she is offering to take care of cheap brochure printing for some up-and-coming politicians. She is targeting those first-time candidates because she assumes they still don’t have a vendor for their printing needs.

And you know what? She’s right!

She already contracted a number of them and she is more than happy with her current business. She found her very own vendor and is now in the process of ordering a number of flyers, brochures and other printed paper ads for her candidates.

She can already imagine her profits!

Worth a try.

Paris

I am scared to fail. In every thing that I do, I make it a point to succeed because I don’t like failing, I hate the feeling of being at the bottom.

But this one is worth a try.

I will apply for a visa this year. To somewhere I’ve always wanted to go to. I am not sure if I will succeed in getting one but it’s worth a try. Anyway, what will I stand to lose if I do, right?
