Changes coming up!
Posted on September 1, 2011 | No Comments
Since today is the 1st of September, the start of the -ber months, I thought I will implement some changes here in this blog. I am still debating whether to change this blog’s title to something else and to change even the general topic I am writing here. But it’s a big possibility.
I think I will also change this blog’s theme. I’ve been using the same theme for months and I thought I might as well take advantage of a cheap theme I saw a couple of days ago.
Anyway, it will all happen before the week ends.
I hope you come back on Sunday for the big reveal!
The little things
Posted on September 1, 2011 | No Comments
I just love it with kids, you just know with them even the little things matter. Did you know that a cousin of mine had personal backpacks for kids done for some poor kids in their village. When she gave it to them, she told me that the kids’ faces lit up like it was Christmas already! She got teary-eyed looking at them.
Adults oftentimes forget what it feels like to be happy with the little things. I think we should take it from the kids. Little things matter. And often, it’s what makes us the happiest!
Worried, negative things
Posted on August 31, 2011 | No Comments
When you are worried, you tend to attract more negative things into your life. Have you noticed that?
I do worry most of the time. I try to stop myself from worrying too much but I guess being unstable when it comes to my finances tends to lead to insecurities like I use to feel every now and then. My faith is strong but not strong enough for me to ignore the occasional spurts of negative emotions coming up to the surface.
Back on the dating scene
Posted on August 31, 2011 | No Comments
Someone I know is anxious to meet single men. But how can she do that when she is always working even at home? She was advised by friends to try free online dating. It will help her get into the dating scene without stressing herself with the travel time. Since she was also out of the dating scene for some time now, online dating will also help get her back on track.
For someone who’s also been away from the dating scene, I know how hard it is to bounce back. The first couple of dates will turn out awkward and unless you are dating a friend or someone you’ve known for a long time, it will be hard to find something to talk about that won’t fizzle out to leave an awkward lull in the conversation.
No dirt in the car
Posted on August 31, 2011 | No Comments
Will has one rule when it comes to his car, no dirty soles of shoes or slippers or any other footwear coming into contact with his car flooring. He doesn’t want any kind of dirt in his Hummer H2. That’s why he has hummer h2 custom floor mats in it. He cannot tolerate seeing his vehicle getting dirty. He loves his car like a very good friend.
I think Will and every one who really work hard to save enough money to buy their cars will be overprotective with it. Hey, they paid blood and swear to get the car they have been dreaming of!
Slowly getting there
Posted on August 30, 2011 | No Comments
My uncle is slowly kicking his smoking habit. He has resorted to e cigarettes now as an alternative to the actual ones. It actually tastes and feels the same. It will do for now.
My uncle was just supposed to go on a general check-up, what he normally undergoes once a year. His doctor found that he was already prone to getting sick due to bad habits that he picked up along the way. He was advised to quit smoking and drinking altogether or his liver will suffer. And some other things like he needs to sleep longer hours and he should take a vacation from time to time to stop the stress from battering his mind and body.
He is doing all of what his doctor told him and he is slowly getting there.
Truly loving another person…
Posted on August 22, 2011 | No Comments
Truly loving another means letting go of all expectations. It means full acceptance, even celebration of another’s personhood.
-Karen Casey
Many people, unknowingly, want their partners to change. Most claiming for the better. And yes, some are really right on the dot. But there are “quirks” in each and every one of us that are part and parcel of who we are. These are the things that our significant others should learn to accept wholeheartedly.
What do you think?
Balance in life
Posted on August 12, 2011 | No Comments

Life is best enjoyed when time periods are evenly divided between labor, sleep, and recreation…all people should spend one-third of their time in recreation which is rebuilding, voluntary activity, never idleness.
Happy Friday everyone! Balance your life. Enjoy your day today and this weekend with your love ones. No work this weekend if possible.
POS for the local store
Posted on August 11, 2011 | No Comments
The local store will be getting their very own barcode scanner and barcode system. It is taking them forever to checkout customers’ orders during rush hours. This has become an every day scenario so the owner finally relented to investing in a barcode system. His store needs it! The customers are complaining about the long queue, some are even threatening to just shop elsewhere.
That will no longer be the case because the owner has already found a POS system for his store and the barcode scanners will be installed, hopefully, this weekend.
Mr. Funny Man
Posted on August 5, 2011 | No Comments
Mr. Harper is the town’s resident Mr. Funny Man. You can expect the man to be smiling and joking with everyone even when he is clearly under the weather. He wears funny t shirts from time to time, most especially when he is meeting some parents from the neighborhood. He likes to make them laugh. He wants them to slack off a bit from work and spend more time with their kids. He wants them to realize that life is not all about working hard. There are also other aspects of life they need to focus on.
Yes, Mr. Harper is Mr. Funny Man. He is also the town’s best adviser!
At the park
Posted on July 27, 2011 | No Comments

Whenever I see pictures of people walking in the park, I keep wishing that there is a park here that looks the same. I mean look at the photo above. You can’t find the same park here. Or maybe there’s one but it’s in the province. I wish there’s one nearby that my family and I can go to. Where we can walk or just stroll leisurely around. But there’s none.
I think I will have to make do with what we have, huh.
Farm renovation
Posted on July 13, 2011 | No Comments
My uncle’s farm is undergoing a much needed renovation this week. More storage spaces will be installed in a part of the house. The barn will also be renovated. Various items from the city are going to the farm including a farm stool that my aunt requested for her to reach high cabinets.
My uncle and aunt are already inviting all of us over the minute the renovation gets done. We are all excited to visit their farm. We were there last holidays and we had a blast there! It was so much peaceful when you are away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Oh, life!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take… but by the moments that take our breath away.
Happy Wednesday to all!
Just dance!
Posted on July 9, 2011 | No Comments

One of the things that I secretly love to do when I want to feel energized is to dance. What some people doesn’t know about me is that dancing is something I have always loved doing. In fact, I just bought better speakers for computer for the sounds to be coming off better as well when I turn on the volume.
No, I don’t claim to be a good dancer. But it’s something I love to do for myself. You know, it’s both an exercise and a fun activity for me!
Product launch
Posted on July 9, 2011 | No Comments
A couple of years ago, I attended a product launch by a big local company here in the country. It’s a cool launch with a huge Tradeshow booth and lots of item given away to all those who attended the event. I was able to bring home a gift certificate, a bag, a one-year magazine subscription and three samples of the product being launched that day.
Attending an event as big as that attended by big names in the retail industry was a big deal for me. I met a lot of really nice executives there that I wouldn’t normally meet in the company I was working for that time.
